LOCATION & MAP

The village of Warburton is nestled within the Yarra Valley on the Upper Yarra River, and approximately a 1.5 hour drive from both the Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Tullamarine Airport.

The Visit Warburton site offers regional, interstate and international visitors an excellent introduction to the beautiful village of Warburton, with maps, transport and accommodation suggestions.

The Arts Center, Warburton, is the epicenter of The River Folk Festival, hosting The Mecca Theatre, and The Mechanics Hall venues, as well as BOX OFFICE and INFORMATION - as seen in the map below.

Transport

Public Transport

Warburton can be reached by public transport from the Melbourne CBD. Trains run regularly from the city to Lilydale Station, then simply catch the 683 Warburton bus (timetable here), in the direction of Warburton, from outside Lilydale Station.

Public Transport Victoria have a Journey Planner which can be useful in planning your transport to the festival.

BICYCLE

The Festival can also be reached via bicycle from Lilydale Train Station. The Warburton Rail Trail offers a smooth, scenic 40km bicycle ride to the Festival. Information about the Warburton Rail Trail can be found on the Yarra Ranges Council website.

BIKE RACKS - Warburton hosts a large area of dedicated bicycle lock-up racks in the parks in the centre of the township.

Car

The River Folk festival can be reached by road from Melbourne CBD or Melbourne Tullamarine Airport in approximately 1.5hrs along the Eastlink highway, Maroondah Highway and Warburton Highway.

PARKING - Warburton has very limited parking, and we encourage our patrons to make use of the excellent public transport options available to them to reach our beautiful little festival! Parking spaces are along the river in town, and near the Rail Trail.
